Technorati Profile

Thursday, September 19

Sorry for the silence all week. I am at SunNetwork, the new Sun customer conference being held this week in San Francisco. It's surprisingly busy here - around 8,000 visitors, and a huge number of media people needing interviews. I'll be back home at the weekend with more updates.

Did you know that there's a strong chance that the US INS will deport the surviving partners of victims of the September 11 attacks? I'd like to stringly recommend my US readers to visit Ginger's weblog and read about it, then urgently write to your Senator. Just like the RIAA, government bodies roll and roll like a Terminator without regard for humanity or compassion unless their Masters intervene.

Catches you unawares sometimes. I was browsing a new (to me) news source, AlertNet, which offers a collaborative news feed for the disaster relief community in conjunction with 'Reuters', and stumbled on the fact that Sun is a sponsor of AlertNet. Cool!

Oops, got a life for a couple of days, sorry ;-) So, next week in San Francisco, will I find that Doonesbury is right about American attitudes to war against Iraq?
