Naked As We Came
iTMS has a new music video online and I am stunned by it. No, there are no almost nude-dancers, there's no techno-trance, no minimalist postmodern cynicism, not anything fast-paced in it at all. But 'Naked As We Came' from the album 'Endless Numbered Days' by Iron & Wine [US|UK|CA] is a captivating, if dark, love song that makes me hush the family and listen over and over again.

If you want so see it yourself, watch the video on iTMS (you do have iTunes installed I assume?), grab the free MP3 from the Iron & Wine site and chill. Weeping, possibly.

Very cool. One of those songs that makes you glad that you have what you have. Another one I'd rate about the same is 100 Years by Five For Fighting (no video in the store that I can find).

I was fortunate enough to see Iron and Wine open for the band Broadcast late last year in Detroit.

Bring back the almost-naked dancers. Please.

Thanks very much, Simon — I’ve got to blog this, too.

Definitely something soothing for the eye and the mind. I may post the link to a large group blog so more people get to see it. Thank you.
