At the Summit

This week I'm high in the mountains in Colorado at the 13th Colorado Software Summit, my favourite technology event of the year where I've been privileged to deliver a keynote for the last five years. The mountains look beautiful, with frosted caps on proper pointy peaks and precipitous tree-lined slopes either side of the venue, which is so high (nearly 10,000 feet) that just walking from my room to the convention centre leaves me breathless. It's great to be surrounded by so many smart people in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

One of the things I'll do here is run an Eclipse session. Not the Java IDE (after all, I would vote for NetBeans every time!) but the lunar eclipse expected Wednesday night. Hopefully we'll get a party of geeks up to the continental divide to watch a nicely timed pumpkin moon.
