Perspective
If you have iTunes installed, go right now and watch the video Sarah McLachlan has just produced for 'World on Fire'. Really. It's a 'total perspective vortex'.

Update: A source points out that there's a site for the video that's showing a lo-fi version and also has a breakdown of what Sarah did with the money. There's also been a comment for an anomymous coward who's not read the house rules who complains "I always feel warm an fuzzy when some clueless rich person preaches that throwing money at the world's problems is some kind of fix." If only a few more clueless folk were making a difference of some sort, any sort, instead of just writing cynical comments about the charity of others.

For what it's worth, it made me want to throw myself at the world's problems.

The video is horrible ... she would be wise to invest an additional $1 in it's production to extend the amount of time of text transitions. As it is, the messages flip too fast for my eyes to read, much less to absorb them ... rather than a feeling of caring, shame and whatever else emotional response is tosweep over me, a feeling of annoyance is bubbling ... quite pointless, really ...

Sarah, Sarah, that silly old crank ...

Now, if you don't mind, I will go and drown my annoyance in a tall cappucino ... I'm sure the amount of money the tall cappucino costs would be better spent doing something for someone somewhere, but I will never know after watching this video ... $5 cappucion = bliss for evilbyte ... and that is got to be worth something, right?

ib.

As long as it's fair-trade coffee.
