Despite the obvious effort you put into creating these animations, it appears as though you were not successful at exactly matching the features of the bridges and coastlines in the before and after images. An American college student, although he did not create an animation as you did created a hi-res composite of the before and after images and managed to successfully match up every major feature in the images. He also created an infrared composite image which very clearly shows what remains of the harbor in the wake of the Tsunami. He did this not just for the images you used but for 2 other sets of images as well.

Thanks for the pointer. Yes, I had a lot of trouble fitting the images together as they are taken from different positions and at different magnification so scaling and stretching the pictures to match didn't completely work out.
