Narnia
As Tim points out it's been pretty tough finding space to do much more than attend events this week. Fortunately, there was a good side to tonight's event - I got to go see the new Narnia movie in San Francisco. Not bad - no "Lord of the Rings" but still pretty well calculated, knowing what to leave out while remaining faithful to the book. The animals performed excellently - if only the same could be said for the children. Maybe in the rest of the series they could be animatronics and effects too?

As usual (and to the amazement of friends) I stayed to the end of the titles and thus got to enjoy the commissioned music that backed them. Best of the bunch is the great track Imogen Heap wrote for the movie, Can't Take It In (which I'll not be buying yet as iTMS deviously insists I buy the whole soundtrack album to get it), but there's also a so-so offering from Alanis Morrissette as well.

Comments:

Simon - you can buy the individual tracks here: 77 pence for the Imogen Heap track can't be bad at all!

7Digital store

I looked at that, Ben - Immi recommends it in her blog - but their FAQ says not all tracks are available in Mac-compatible formats and the only way to find out seems to be to buy the track. I suppose 77p isn't much to blow on an experiment but I find the whole DRM snakeoil pretty repulsive.
