Wednesday, May 3"Get Legal" - OpenOffice.Org Spins Microsoft FUD
Comments:
I dunno ... I think enterprise IT managers live with a healthy fear of a call from M$ account managers or lawyers. What behaviour do you think would most likely result in such a call - buying more M$ software, or buying less?

Segue to tongue-in-cheek discussion of M$ licenses as a protection racket. Segue to that student-led anti-Mafia campaign in Italy recently - "buy from Mafia-free stores", they said. Maybe the openoffice community should focus negative attention on vendors of products and services who are tainted by Microsoft software in their operations chain. There's good opportunity here: do you really want to do business with a vendor with pitiful (Microsoft) controls on your private financial data? :) glen Links to this post: |
