The only food that I really won't eat is a big chunk of raw tomato. The very thought of biting into a big plump tomato makes me gag. There's a reason they are bright red you know. They are a relative of deadly nightshade after all. Danger! Danger!
I am from a huge family - my mother was one of 14 siblings, and all together I have a vast number of relatives. I, however, am a reclusive only-child.
I went to a school for missionary children. Not because I was one though. That came much later.
I have no middle name. Fortunately I am rarely confused with other Simon Phippses, such as the singer from the band Engineers (despite singing with a band once) or the late Bishop of Lincoln (despite being a lay preacher once).
Although I have been fortunate enough to have travelled all over the world in the last decade, I still live in the same suburb of Southampton that I moved to in the 70s when I went to Southampton University.
There, that wasn't too painful (or informative). I hereby tag Patrick, Catherine, Bruno, AKMA and Dalibor (who have all duly responded).
